AI workshops your team will actually use

Hands-on training for non-technical teams and engineers, run by the AAI Labs engineers behind our client projects. Participants work with real AI tools on real tasks, and leave with something they built.

Example workshops

Every workshop is tailored to the client. See four examples below, from first steps with AI to agentic engineering.

Workshop 01Beginner

Vibe Coding for Non-Technical People

A practical introduction to building with AI. Participants learn the difference between vibe coding and a structured way of working with AI, then build a real website of their own with an AI agent.

For
Analysts, project managers, consultants, designers and anyone who doesn't write code.
Format
About 3 hours: 3 theory and 3 hands-on blocks
You need
No programming experience.

Topics

  • How AI agents work, and why context matters more than prompt wording
  • Where vibe coding goes wrong, and a structured way of working instead
  • The tool landscape: coding tools, app builders and design tools

Hands-on

  • Diagrams and app prototypes with AI tools
  • A landing page built from your own CV with an AI agent
  • Your own reusable AI skill

Learning outcomes

  • Build a working prototype or website with AI tools
  • Recognise when AI output is plausible but wrong
  • Choose a suitable tool and give it the right context

Workshop 02Beginner–intermediate

Business Process Automation and Agentic AI

How AI and automation support everyday analytical work, from personal productivity to automating whole business processes. Participants build working automations in n8n, a low-code automation tool.

For
Analysts, solution designers and operations teams with basic technical knowledge.
Format
About 3 hours: four 45-minute blocks
You need
Basic technical knowledge.

Topics

  • AI as a work assistant for analysis, drafting and documentation
  • Prompts, workflows and agents, and when each is enough
  • The main AI platforms and workflow tools: n8n, LangChain, LangGraph

Hands-on

  • Automation workflows built in n8n
  • A larger project based on a realistic business scenario

Learning outcomes

  • Spot automation opportunities in their own work
  • Choose between a prompt, a workflow and an agent
  • Build a working AI automation in n8n

Workshop 03Intermediate

Vibe Coding for Developers

One deliberately vague product brief, taken through the steps of real software work with an AI agent at every stage: specification, tickets, a tested implementation, code review, and extending the agent with skills and plugins.

For
Software developers.
Format
About 6 hours: 3 theory and 3 hands-on blocks, one continuous project
You need
Working experience as a developer.

Topics

  • Context engineering and prompts the agent can act on
  • Workflow patterns: spec, plan, then code, in small complete slices
  • Extending agents with AGENTS.md, skills and MCP servers

Hands-on

  • Turn a vague brief into a spec and dependency-ordered tickets
  • Build ticket by ticket, test-first, with pull requests and code review
  • Extend the agent with a custom skill and a connector

Learning outcomes

  • Take a vague brief to tested, reviewed code with an agent
  • Structure work so the agent stays on track
  • Extend an agent with skills and connectors

Workshop 04Advanced

Advanced AI-Assisted Engineering

For engineering teams moving from writing the code to designing, specifying and checking it, while agents do much of the implementation. The full software lifecycle with agents, plus the controls that make it safe.

For
Experienced developers who already use AI coding tools every day.
Format
6–8 hours: 5–6 hours of content plus 1–2 hours of exercises, modules chosen to fit
You need
Daily AI coding tool use, Git and GitHub, CI basics. Claude Code and GitHub CLI installed.

Topics

  • The full software lifecycle with agents, from design to CI/CD
  • Repository context, skills, subagents and model choice
  • Guardrails, sandboxes and running agents in parallel

Hands-on

  • An agent that files a GitHub issue from a bug on screen
  • A pull-request review skill, run on a real pull request
  • Ten minutes to break a hardened agent setup

Learning outcomes

  • Take work from design to spec, build, review and testing
  • Choose the right agent access for CI/CD and production
  • Set up checks that reliably block dangerous actions

How sessions run

Short theory, then hands on the tools. Participants spend most of the session building, not listening.

~45 min each

Short, focused presentations on one idea at a time, with worked examples from real projects.

Frequently asked questions

Is our data safe if you build exercises around our documents or code?

Yes. We process any data you share in line with the GDPR: protected by appropriate technical and organisational measures, used only for the agreed purpose, and kept only as long as needed.

Read our privacy policy
Can you use our own examples?

Yes. On request, we build examples and exercises around your processes, documents, code or industry.

What do participants need to prepare?

It depends on the workshop. Each programme lists what participants need, and for the engineering workshops, what to install beforehand.

Can we combine topics from different workshops?

Yes. The programme is agreed with you before we start.

What do you need from us to get started?

A short description of who wants to learn and what you'd like to achieve. We work out the rest with you.

Can we change the topics after the first proposal?

Yes. The first proposal is a draft for you to mark up. The programme is only fixed once you confirm it.

Let's talk

Tell us who wants to learn and what you'd like to achieve. We'll come back with a programme proposal.
